I. Application Object

Foreigner apply for Permanent Resident Permit who is more than 60 years old and goes to direct relative for shelter.

II. Application Document and Requirement

   It has no direct relative outside China, goes to direct relative in China for shelter, more than 60 years old, lives in China for more than 5 years continuously, lives in China for more than 9 months each year with stable living guarantee and residence place.

1Valid foreign passport or certificate instead for passport

2Health Certify Letter issued by health guarantee department appointed by Chinese government or foreign health medical institution authenticated by Chinese embassy/ consulate stationed abroad.

3No criminal record certificate at broad authenticated by China’s embassy/consulate stationed abroad.

4Four recent frontal colorful photos in two inches

5Foreigner Permanent Residency Permit of relied Chinese citizen household certificate or Foreigner Permanent Residency Permit of the foreigner, notarial kindred certificate, no direct relative relation certificate of the depending person, notarial house rent/ownership certificate of the depending person or the depended person. The above certificate issued by related foreign organization should be authenticated by Chinese embassy/consulate stationed in that country.

III. Application Time Limit

The public security organization shall make the decision of approve or refuse within 6 months since the application date of the foreigner apply for permanent residency in China.

Handling organization:The organization for foreigner apply for permanent resident permit in China means the municipal level people’s government public security organization, direct-controlled public security sub-bureau or county bureau; The audit organization for foreigner permanent resident permit application in China means the provincial, autonomous administrative region, direct-controlled municipal public security department/ bureau; The approval for foreigner permanent resident permit application in China means the Ministry of Public Security.
